Zinc Stearate is a zinc salt of stearic acid, widely used across the plastics and rubber industry as a multifunctional lubricant. It reduces friction between polymer melt and processing equipment, aids mould release, and improves the dispersion of pigments and fillers through the matrix.
It is also valued for its water-repellent and anti-tack properties, making it useful as a release and separating agent well beyond plastics processing.
Key Benefits
- Effective internal and external lubrication
- Improves mould release and reduces sticking
- Aids pigment and filler dispersion
- Imparts water repellency
- Good compatibility across polyolefins, PVC and rubber
